Clean Sweep for Romney in Yesterday's Primaries

With Rick Santorum out of the race, the pathway was clear for Mitt Romney to sweep all five Republicans primaries yesterday. His pivot into the general election was clear in his speech, where he stated that "A Better American starts tonight." According to CNN, Romney has 695 delegates (he needs 1,144 to clinch the nomination). Santorum still has 273 in his pocket, while Gingrich only has 141 and Paul has 72. Looking at the numbers, it seems that the earliest Mitt Romney could accumulate the 1,144 delegates is in late May.
