Paul Ryan Wants to Help the Next Generation

Rep. Paul Ryan (Mitt Romney’s choice for VP) took center stage last night at the RNC. His speech introduced himself more the public, referencing lessons he learned growing up in Wisconsin as well as family values he was raised with. Ryan also criticized the Obama administration for handling the economy poorly and urged voters to support the Romney/Ryan ticket in order to turn the economy around. Ryan specifically addressed 20 somethings, and the lack of opportunity for them right now in the job market. The message resonated with some, including 23-year old Anjoly Ibrahim, a former Democrat who once interned for Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Ibrahim feels that Ryan’s plan might be the solution. "I believe Paul Ryan's budget actually was very well laid-out compared to the other ones that the Democrats were proposing," she said. "So I think speaking towards the budget will bring out the youth vote."
